Are you still looking for a good night out this Hogmanay? Glasgow is the place to be, especially for those reigning in the purse strings after Christmas.
Lots of pubs and clubs are sold out, so here are 13 Hogmanay happenings you can still go to in Glasgow!
Happy Brew Year: The Hippo Taproom, Sauchiehall Street
For all the beer lovers out there, the place to be is The Hippo Taproom. This Glaswegian pub has a variety of beers available and will have an “all-star line-up” from all of the bars favourite breweries of 2016.
It’s also well within budget at £5 a ticket which even gets you half a pint, a chunk of pie and a playlist of all the artists to have left us this year.
Hillhead Bookclub, Vinicombe Street
Are you in the mood for dancing? Tickets are still available for Hillhead Bookclub’s New Year’s Eve bash. Along with expert party throwers Hush and Frogbeats, who will provide the beats, you can expect the Bookclubs signature £3 Strawberry Mojitos to be flowing from the bar on the night.
The big night starts at 8pm and tickets are £10 each.
NYE 2016: Rahaan-Sassy J . Randomer-Spencer – La Cheetah Club, Queen Street
If you’re really in the mood for clubbing into 2017, La Cheetah are offering a night with a variety of DJ’s to kickstart the New Year: Rahann, club regular Sassy J, Dom D’Sylva, Ezup and many more over the two floors.
This one is almost sold out with only about 100 tickets left. From 10pm to 4pm you can dance the year away to a mix of electro, house, techno and dub beats. Tickets are £25 each.
beGIN, Byres Road
This one is a little bit more pricey but well worth the tag. You can celebrate the New Year with table service, live DJ, great cocktails, over 60 gins to choose from and the finest craft beers.
Your ticket also gets you a sharing platter, nibbles; three drinks of your choice and bottle of bubbly just before the bells.
Tickets are £50 and are limited to ensure that the evening will be a comfortable one for those with table service.
Funk Feast Hogmanay: Drygate, West End
Funk Feast is set to be a hair-raising night with the Drygate’s own soul/funk/disco line-up of the Flying Funk Master, Federation Of The Disco Pimp and Shaka Loves You.
If that’s not enough you also have a complimentary photo booth, dancers, light show and a Soul Train Dance Off!
Doors open at 9pm and tickets are only £15. Grab them quick!
A Sleazy Hogmanay with Singles Night: Nice ‘N’ Sleazy, Sauchiehall Street
For the very last minute New Year’s Eve unattached revellers, Nice ‘N’ Sleazy are offering up a single’s night. DJ Beans and Divine will play the best from disco, funk, electro, pop, dance, punk, indie and more.
Getting the party started at 10pm and going all out until 3am, it’s £3 if you order in advance and £5 at the door. Not too shabby.
Waxy O’Connors Rock Lock In 2016: Waxy O’Connors, W George Street
Waxy O’Connor’s are holding their 8th Hogmanay Lock In for the bells this year. Tickets are selling quickly at the bargain price of £10. Your Lock In ticket includes a complimentary drink upon arrival, a late night buffet and two guest rock DJ’s, Tom Russel and Ted Rock.
The night also include their famous Air Guitar competition in which you could win a Jack Daniels Epiphone Guitar. Tickets can be bought over the bar or here.
New Year’s Eve Party: Revolution Glasgow, Renfield Street
Revolution Glasgow are holding an all night long party to bring in the new year with style, and the best party atmosphere in the city. Revolution have a number of party packages available for the night, so you and all your friends can join the party. If you are interested in a Premium Drinks Voucher, you can request to be on Revolutions guest list for £6.

NYE! Mango: MANGO Tropical Bar/ Club, Sauchiehall Street
MANGO Tropical Bar/ Club are hosting their #noromantic New Years eve party in hopes to take all their guests to the tropical islands to celebrate the arrival of the new year. If you book your tickets to the club early, your ticket price has 50% off and you only have to pay £5.
However, if you forget to book online, don’t worry! You can still purchase tickets at the door for £12 on the night. Guests are promised to receive the best cocktails in the city as well as some colourful surprises all throughout the night, including jam packed DJ sets.
Colours Classics New Years Eve: SWG3, Eastvale Place
Colour Classics presented by SWG3 is bringing all the house music you could ever want straight to you, bringing your night to life. The night will include classic hits spanning over 21 years. This setlist is jam packed full of party starters, and what better way to bring in the new year?

Club Noir’s Hogmanay Blast! Classic Grand, Jamaica Street
Club Noir is guaranteed to bring you the most glamourous party in the country just in time for Hogmanay. Hosted at The Classic Grand, Club Noir is bringing you all sorts of party delights in the run up to 2017, including outstanding burlesque performances as well as handfuls of the best music to come out of 2016 playing from 9pm until 4am.

Hogmanay House Party: The Hummingbird, Bath Street
Hogmanay house party is hosted by the Hummingbird Bar, and are providing the last party of 2016 for you and your friends. The House Party is offering a number of different deals and packages for the night of the party. Their four storey venue is to be filled with the hottest music as well as private booths and tables during the night.
The House Party will also have free entry to the venue throughout the whole night of Hogmanay.
Hogmanay Dinner Dance: House for an Art Lover, Bellahousten Park
The Hogmanay Dinner Dance is taking place in the House for an Art Lover building on the Beallahouston Park grounds. There will be a champagne reception at the beginning of the night at around 7pm as well as a four course meal to welcome you into the final night of the year. After food and casual drinks, the music for the evening will begin, with the top hits from the year as well as a ceilidh band.
The music will bring you into the early hours of the morning, easing you in happily into the new year that is 2017, what better way to get the year started? Tickets are £75.
