Radiohead, Kasabian and Biffy Clyro have been confirmed as headline acts for TRNSMT festival.
Kilmarnock trio Biffy Clyro, will be hitting up the main stage on Sunday July 9, with Radiohead taking lead on Friday July 7 and Kasabian on Saturday July 8.
The 1975 will also perform on the Sunday along with Twin Atlantic and Blossoms. Other acts confirmed on the first wave of line-up announcements are: Belle & Sebastian, Catfish and the Bottlemen, London Grammar, George Ezra and Two Door Cinema Club.
Pre-sale early bird tickets for the festival are available now (via the festival’s mailing list) (Wednesday February 1) with general early bird tickets to go on sale this Friday February 3.
The festival is a non-camping festival that takes place on Glasgow Green from July 7-9.
TRNSMT Festival is run by DF Concerts who also organized the famous T in the Park. The new festival is on the same weekend TitP traditionally would take place but is not replacing the Strathallen annual event.
Festival organiser of both events, George Ellis said to BBC Newsbeat: “I don’t think you can replace T in the Park.
“TRNSMT is on the same weekend that T in the Park would traditionally have been on, but I think that’s where the similarities end.
“One is an urban, city centre event and the other is a rural camping event.
“Next year maybe we’ll run a camping festival and have TRNSMT in the city centre as well. But let’s see how this year goes first.”
Here is the festival line-up so far, however, more acts are yet to be announced:
FRIDAY JULY 7
Belle & Sebastian
Rag N’ Bone Man
SATURDAY JULY 8
Catfish and the Bottlemen
SUNDAY JULY 9
Two Door Cinema Club
