The Electric Frog crew and Pressure have joined forces once more to bring their outdoor electronic music festival back to Glasgow this bank holiday weekend.
Back for a fifth round, the 2017 Riverside Festival line-up includes: Sven Vath, Loco Dice, Nina Kraviz, Rodhad, Alan Fitzpatrick Slam, DJ Koze, Art Department, Surgeon (live), Hunee, Mr G (live), Derrick Carter, Levon Vincent and more.
So, we decided to tell you about our top DJ’s you shouldn’t miss at the Riverside Museum this weekend.
Jack Revill, aka Jackmaster, is a Scottish DJ native to Glasgow. Co-founding the record label and night club, Numbers he has also set up Wireblock, Dress 2 Sweat and Point. One Recordings.
Jack has a flare for his in-depth and diverse music taste and the ability to mix a multitude of different genres.
This is Jack’s first time at Riverside and is no stranger to the Glasgow club scene. Check out the video below from his recent set at the Boiler Room, Glasgow.
Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle have been with Riverside from the beginning, performed at nearly every Pressure gig and have seen Glasgow’s club scene evolve over two decades.
The techno duo started out at a weekly club event called Black Market in the Glasgow club, Fury Murry’s. They played various genres, mixing house, funk and rap and by 1988, the pair were approached by producer Steven Sleepman (aka Steven Workman), after he heard one of their tracks on Radio Clyde.
On the Riverside Festival, they told the Glasgowist: “This year’s Riverside Festival will be our best yet – the line-up is second to none (especially for a British dance festival) – and now sold out on the Saturday and almost sold out on the Sunday.
“We are continually tweaking everything about the festival to improve the experience – for sound system and lights, layout, food, bars, security and crowd management.”
Slam will perform this Saturday, but first, check out the video below of their set from last year’s festival.
Best buddies with Jackmaster, Jasper James is a DJ who is set on establishing and strengthening his music skills, knowledge and experience.
He is a leader in Glasgow’s vivacious house scene, which is no surprise as both his parents are regulars to the city’s clubs. His dad, DJ Harri, is synonymous with Glasgow’s vibrant House scene.
Jasper is creating a legacy for himself, manufacturing his own brand of house and techno through DJ sets at some of the most respected clubs around the world.

Nina a Russian DJ, music producer and singer. She released her self-titled debut album in February 2012 through the Rekids record label and has played at various Glasgow clubs and the Riverside festival, with her last appearance in 2015.
