Scottish boyband, Single By Sunday, will be taking part in a charity event in Glasgow this Friday to raise funds for Nordoff Robbins as part of their upcoming UK tour.
The colourful haired quartet, who have a following from the likes of Paolo Nuttini, will be playing a one-off show, ‘Colour Your Hair For Nordoff Robbins’, supported by The Novaks and the Voice UK’s Into The Ark, at the Hard Rock Café on Buchanan Street.
Frontman Josh Ladds said: “We’ve chosen to play this gig because we are familiar with the Nordoff Robbins music therapy and we believe that the work that they are doing a really good.
“They help people through the power of music. Not everyone is able to go out and enjoy or play music the way that we do, so we thought it would be good if we could sort of give something back.
We are really looking forward to the show; it’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Nordoff Robbins is a UK-based independent music therapy charity which was founded in 1959. Since then, they have helped thousands of vulnerable and isolated people through the power of music.
Single By Sunday, who have been dubbed “the Glaswegian 5 Seconds of Summer” by Capital FM Radio, will be headlining the show, and have asked all attendees to colour their hair with spray dye, or wigs in support of the cause.
Josh said: “On the night people can expect to hear some good music from some great artists, including ourselves. We are asking everyone to colour their hair and fully embrace what the event is about. It’s about having fun but more importantly, raising as much money as possible for the charity. No one is getting paid for the event, no one penny.
“Fans can expect the usual S.B.S madness and for anyone that hasn’t bought a ticket yet, the question is why not? Come on and get involved, that’s what we say.”
Tickets for the night can be purchased from the official SBS website.
