For those who already own the game, Weird Autumn will be a free patch available to Xbox One and PC players on December 13th, and PS4 players, January 2018. For those who aren’t familiar with the title, Night in the Woods is a critically acclaimed adventure game which follows an anthropomorphic cat named Mae and her closest friends through a supernatural adventure in their home town of Possum Springs.
Despite its cute art style, bright landscapes and charming characters, Night in the Woods tackles a number of tough subjects, from philosophy and religion, to the decline of small town America, and mental health, and has been praised for both its gameplay and the respectful manner in which it tackles difficult themes.
Following the announcement of Weird Autumn on the game’s official Twitter account, it was also teased that the game would be coming to yet another platform, though exactly which console was not said. Given that the game is currently available for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, it’s likely that Night in the Woods might be available for the Nintendo Switch sometime in the future.
