Silverburn Shopping centre delighted shoppers when it hosted a circus-themed evening of exclusive offers and entertainment last night with its Shopping Affair event that went on from 5pm to 9pm on 24th of May.
The shopping centre played host to an exciting combination of static and roaming circus acts. Which included a spectacular hula hoop artist all the way from Berlin, Jessie Rose.
Whom dazzled customers with her skilful performance and LED hoops to the music from the soundtrack of the recent box office hit ‘The Greatest Showman’.
Later poi artists, stilt walkers, jugglers, and a contortion duo followed in her steps and did not fail to entertain shoppers as the various shops and restaurants took the opportunity to promote business to the large crowds with free samples of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, cakes, chip n’ dips etc. being handed out among the crowd.
David Pierotti, Silverburn General Manager explained how the event promotes fun and festivity which is great for business. He said: “The event provides a great escape to the daily routine, allowing shoppers to end the day with an indulgence in great food and fashion. With this year’s circus theme, there will be plenty to entertain our visitors and many rewards available via the(PLUS) app.”
A £250 gift bundle was up for grabs and included: two Superscreen Cineworld tickets, a Wagamama meal for two and a lot of treats provided by Molton Brown. To enter customers were instructed to download the ‘Plus’ app and look under the competitions.
The offers included discounts in Paperchase aimed at Father’s Day and fun scratch cards given out to each shopper with the chance to win discounts in store or online. Other offers ranged from 20% off at Remus Uomo to 20% off at Monsoon and Accessorize. Body Shop, Cineworld, Molton Brown also giving out discounts, as well as deals from 30% off the bill at Bella Italia, a free portion of chips at Handmade Burger and 10% off at Krispy Kreme.
Customers also had the chance to take advantage of the numerous giveaways on the evening, including tea for two at Patisserie Valerie to a set from Molton Brown, as well as a £50 Boux Avenue voucher.
The first 150 people that turned up received a free goodie bag. The staff heavily promoted their new app. Which can be downloaded from the app store called the PLUS app to access more great offers.
