Silverburn shopping centre, one of Glasgow’s leading shopping and leisure destinations hosted a circus themed evening of exclusive offers and entertainment known as a ‘Shopping Affair’on the 24th of May. It was a chance for everyone to have fun while they shop and an opportunity for them to escape their daily routine.
While shopping they can enjoy circus acts and artists, this is live entertainment and will have many different types of artists involved. These included poi artists, stilt walkers, jugglers and a hula hoop artist from Berlin.
Jumping through hoops: Jessie Rose, travelled all the way from berlin and dazzles crowd while performing to songs from ‘the Greatest Showman’ soundtrack and able to handle several hoops at once in a performance filled with a variety of tricks to stun her audience in a performance she calls ‘Orfelia’
Many people attended the shopping affair in Silverburn shopping centre and took to social media to tell everyone how good it was and how much they enjoyed it.
One such individual was Sophie Martin who was out shopping when the event started. She said: “It was bizarre but it was quite cool, it’s something that you don’t normally see every day.”
David Pierotti, Silverburn General Manager said: “The event provides a great escape to the daily routine, allowing shoppers to end the day with an indulgence in great food and fashion. With this year’s circus theme, there will be plenty to entertain our visitors and many rewards available via the app.”
There was a number of offers available to the customers which were from a range of different shops such as Monsoon, Accessorize and even Krispy Kreme.
There was live entertainment and a live circus act in the shopping centre for shoppers so they could enjoy a little more while shopping.
Shoppers were able to RSVP for the event and the first 150 people who turned up received a free goody-bag.
