Appeal for witnesses after knife attack in Johnstone

Graham Street, Johnstone

A 33-year-old man was left with serious head and facial injuries after an assault with a bladed weapon.

The man was found on Graham Street, in Johnstone around 5:15pm on Friday 16th November and was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.

He is currently being treated at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where his condition is described as serious.

Detective Sergeant Michael Lochrie of the Johnstone CID said:

“This was a very violent attack which has left the victim with very serious injuries.

“I’m keen to speak to anyone who was in the area and witnessed any kind of disturbance or unusual activity.”
