Weather: Yellow warning issued for central Scotland

Weather warning

A yellow weather warning has been issued for Scotland.

People are being urged to take care tomorrow, after the Met Office have released a warning for snow and ice.

The warning has been issued for between 1am and 12pm.

Drivers are being asked to leave extra time to get to work as the conditions may be dangerous.

Gritters will be operating throughout the local area to ensure disruption is minimised.

Most of Scotland and England will be affected by the bad weather which is expected to clear up by mid-day.

Police say the areas likely to be affected include the central parts Highland Region, the western areas of Tayside, Central Region, southern and western Fife, Strathclyde, Dumfries and Galloway, Edinburgh and the Lothians, and the Scottish Borders.
