Clyde Outside is an exciting news site which covers the Paisley area, as well as stories from Glasgow and the wider world, which are relevant to the people of Paisley.
Our website, which is run by a team of dedicated and passionate journalism students at Glasgow Clyde College, is visited by thousands of unique readers each week.
The website is run by a new set of students each year and in 2018 we have decided to refocus the content – placing a heavier focus on the Paisley area. We made the decision to do this shortly after it was revealed that the town did not win its ‘City of Culture 2021’ bid with the aim of keeping up spirits and the momentum that the bid created across the town.
We are committed to producing unique content and speaking to the people of Paisley, in a voice that they can relate to, by impartially covering news, sport, politics and events taking place across the city.
In May we launched ‘The Pattern’, a one-off magazine, which celebrated Paisley’s culture and heritage. It covered everything from local shopping and fashion to sport and activities happening in the town over the coming months. The magazine was distributed for free in the Paisley Daily Express.
Paisley and its buddies are at the heart of what we do – we hope to provide them with the stories they love and the information they need on a daily basis.
